Player to Watch: Justin Fields (NYJ QB)

Justin Fields is the definition of a QB who can be a stud at fantasy but not for his actual NFL team. This fact should help fantasy owners, because his seemingly lackluster performances on the field and the bad rep he gets in the media have crushed his draft status. Meanwhile his fantasy stats tell a different story. Fields was QB7 over his six starts to open last season for the Steelers, and he finished as QB12 and QB6 in the two full seasons prior respectively. In addition to his undeniable rushing ability (finishing second in NFL history in rushing yards in a single season by a QB in 2022 with 1,143) New York also has a solid receiving core. Garrett Wilson leads the way, with Josh Reynolds and Allen Lazard as Fields’ next two top WR targets. Breece Hall is also worth a mention as one of the best receiving backs in the NFL. The Jets’ newfound passer is being drafted as late as the QB16 in some leagues, and is only being drafted in the top 12 QBs on one platform; Yahoo. This means you can get a QB who could finish as high as a mid-QB1 in a double digit round.
