Player Breakdowns:

Teoscar Hernandez (LAD RF): Game three ended a streak of ten straight games with a hit for Hernandez, including the first two games of this series where he went 3/7 with a trio of RBI. Now Hernandez has a very solid matchup with Cris Sanchez, whom he’s hit hard. Hernandez is 5/15 in his career against Sanchez, with an OPS of 1.200 powered by two homers and two doubles. Sanchez shut down most of the Dodger offense in game one, but Hernandez should get his licks in.

Cris Sanchez (PHI SP): A line this low for a pitcher so dominant is disrespectful. Sanchez struck out eight in game one of this series, and sat nine down when these teams met in the regular season. Not to mention the future Cy Young Award runner-up has covered this line in 10 of his last 12 starts, and he only threw 5.2 innings in the two Dodgers starts he’s made. For the Phillies to win game four, Sanchez will have to be on point, and six strikeouts is extremely gettable.

Bryce Harper (PHI 1B): While the last two seasons haven’t shown it quite as much, Harper reverted back to his past clutch self in game three. Harper had two hits and a walk in the Phils win, and has a career on base percentage of .445 in elimination games. Tyler Glasnow has also struggled to sit down the two time MVP, as Harper has four hits in 12 at bats against LA’s game four starter, with two going for extra bases. Harper is long overdue for a home run as well, averaging a bomb every 17 at bats in his career, but not having one in his last 45. I would be shocked to see Philly’s hero end the season on a drought such as that.
